ANNOUNCING Doreen Creede / Style Maniac as Brand Ambassador for new handbag line conradbookerCOLLECTION

I am delighted to share with all of you my collaboration as Brand Ambassador for conradbookerCOLLECTION, a new luxury handbag brand from architect, artist and designer Conrad Booker.

Edgy yet elegant with a chic sense of fun, conradbookerCOLLECTION features bold shapes, beautiful finishing, smart details (easy-access smartphone pockets, surprise mirrors, contrast linings) and incorporation of unexpected materials.  For this season's "HARDWEAR" line each piece has an element taken from a hardware store but used in dramatic yet seamless ways.   All pieces are handmade in the USA.

I invite you to see the handbags at the brand's launch this Wednesday.  (Apologies for the short notice -- I delayed this post due to the storm and its aftereffects.)  And stay tuned for more on the brand, the backstory, sneak peeks and special treats.

This is a wonderful picture of you. Should be on the cover of your book (when you write it ) Vintage clothing is the best. I was born in 1940, so I missed some of the earlier periods, but the late 40's and early 50's was a great time to be growing up. Mom made most of my clothes, I hardly had anything "store bought." She was a wonderful seamstress, and made me so many beautiful outfits. To this day, I prefer vintage over modern. That goes for accessories too. Enjoyed this blog.

Thank you for the lovely compliment, Elizabeth!
I'd love to see some of those clothes your mom made. Did you keep any?
